Dr. James Orsini, Jr. followed his father into a career of service to others as a physician and cancer specialist. Before going into oncology and hematology, he completed his residency training in internal medicine at St. Vincent’s Hospital & Medical Center in New York City. After that, he went on to complete fellowship training in hematology/oncology at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark.
In addition to his training and experience as a cancer and blood-disorders specialist, Dr. Orsini brings to New Jersey Cancer Care and Blood Disorders a broad perspective from his experiences as an internal medicine specialist and a hospitalist. In 2010, he was elected to be a House Staff Council member at NYU’s School of Medicine. He has also written articles for the American Society of Hematology and NYU’s Internal Medicine blog, and has conducted research on leukemia, multiple myeloma, venous thromboembolism, and other topics.
Dr. Orisini speaks both English and Italian.
